ok, cropped so that 3 sides of the "object" are touching the edges. also, a slight reduction in saturation from the previous version. as far as the contrast suggestion goes, I honestly think that the contrast is ok, and the subtle changes in value between triangles (especially at the bottom) help to create a gradation.

The depth look really good here Vern. With the extra shading you have lost some of the color and the image has grayed out. If you want it that way, then you should think about adding some contrast. Looks good!
...i think more shadows would help...but i like where its going!
